William Hill Scottish Cup Draw Monday night

Coldstream Museum will host the draw for the William Hill Scottish Cup preliminary rounds next week as this season’s competition gets under way.

The museum is currently running an exhibition called ‘Frontiers: The Berwickshire Football Story’ which covers the history of the game in the area.

It also mark the 125th anniversary of Coldstream FC, who will be involved in the preliminary round draws.

The first and second preliminary round draw will take place on Monday 18 July at 6.15pm and are open to the public.

There will be three parts to the preliminary round draws:

The first part will determine which seven clubs from ten receive a bye to the second preliminary round. The clubs participating in this part of the draw are:

Banks O’Dee
Burntisland Shipyard Amateurs
Coldstream
Edusport Academy
Girvan
Glasgow University
Golspie Sutherland
Linlithgow Rose
Threave Rovers
Wigtown and Bladnoch

The three clubs which do not receive a bye into the second round will enter the first preliminary round draw alongside:

Auchinleck Talbot
Beith Juniors
Bonnyrigg Rose
Colville Park
Leith Athletic
Newton Stewart
St. Cuthbert Wanderers

Five ties will be drawn in the first preliminary round to be played on Saturday, 13 August 2016.

The final part of the draw will be for the second preliminary round and will feature the five ties drawn in the first preliminary round (and the corresponding clubs) and the seven clubs which received a bye to this round earlier.

Six ties will be drawn in the second preliminary round to be played on Saturday, 3 September 2016.
