Auchinleck Talbot FC has agreed to an invitation from Penicuik Athletic to participate in a pre-season memorial game for former Penicuik Provost Adam Montgomery. Adam who sadly died recently was born and spent his early years in Auchinleck before moving to Penicuik, he was also a lifelong Talbot fan.

YOUTH ACADEMY REPORTS
2003s
Talbot 4-1 Hurlford
With the wind in their faces and trailing the league leaders Hurlford by a point Talbot needed a win to take the league title, they found themselves down 1-0 when Hurlford managed to nip in and score. Straight away though from kick off lovely 1 touch footy brought Talbot back into it when McCulloch hit the inside of the post and Kane was there to finish, not long after Talbot were awarded a penalty when the Hurlford defender handled in the box and Kane Cooley slotted Home
Half time 2-1
Second half only one team looked like taking it and Mathieson scored from a corner before Jy Guthrie under pressure from the defenders broke away and put the tie to bed
Hurlford fought Talbot all the way this year but Talbot wanted it and are now League champions

A great season by the lads and the coaches couldn’t be any prouder
