TALBOT HEAD TO BARRHEAD IN SEARCH OF POINTS

With the South Challenge Cup disappointment from last week firmly behind them Talbot travel to Dunterlie Park to take on Arthurlie in a league match that both sides will be desperate to win. The teams last met on the 9th of September when it looked like Talbot were cruising to the three points after Bryan Boylan and Ross Smith put the “Bot” into a 2-0 lead, but a late relapse let the Barrhead side back into the game when Dylan Dykes pulled one back from the penalty spot and with minutes remaining Sam Greenwood bundled the ball home after sloppy defending from Talbot.

Kyle hobbles off in a debut he will want to forget.

It’s been a tough gig for the “Lee” only gathering four points from a possible fifteen since they last recorded a league win back on the 23rd of September winning 2-1 at Troon. It’s all a far cry from the beginning of the season when they won their opening four league matches but since August they have failed to record a home win at Dunterlie.

Talbot at the moment have one thing on their minds and that is to consolidate a strong position in the league and they know that last weeks performance was not good enough and a similar display will no doubt not be excepted by the travelling support from Auchinleck & district who turned up in large numbers last week at Broxburn.

The fans will indeed be intrigued to see if Tucker tweaks the line up as Jamie Glasgow and Scott Urquhat will be available after being cup tied last week, and with Scott Schoneville  and Tarek Abed back to fitness and Kyle McAvoy probably raring to go after being laid off after a freak injury at Port Glasgow the Talbot faithful will be desperate to see if these players are worthy of a start. . No word on Craig McCracken at the moment, but the rest of the squad look to be fit to go.

The Talbot urge the support to get to Barrhead and get behind the boys as we strive to get away from the relegation zone where unfortunately Arthurlie find themselves at the moment.
