Fixture secretary Kenny Young has pencilled Saturday the 16th of December for the postponed Scottish Cup trip to Alexandria. Heavy frost put paid to any hopes of football last Saturday when Vale of Leven’s Millburn Park was rock solid as Scotland shivered in sub zero temperatures. This means Talbot’s home league match against Gartcairn will be rescheduled for later on in the season.
The quarter final draw on Friday was kind enough to Talbot by producing a home tie, but it could mean an all Ayrshire match against Hurlford United if Darren Henderson’s men can overcome second division side Caledonian Locomotive’s at Blair Park.
The next round looks set for the 10th of February.
