Talbot travel to Largs this weekend to face the local “Jags” in a match they have to take something from to keep up with the leading pack at the top of the division. The match has a 2pm kick off
Since the inception of the Pyramid System Talbot have travelled to Barrfields three times and are still to record a win. With two defeats and a draw which was in the first season of the Premier League, Talbot have failed to score on their last two visits.
The North Ayrshire side also have still to taste defeat at home this season and with top hit man Willie Sewell leading the line the Talbot defence will have to be a bit more stingy than they have in the last two games as the habit of gifting goals continues.
Last week’s match on the plastic carpet will be a good pointer to today’s match as the team adapted well to the astro, and hopefully that experience sets us up for a stirring encounter.
The Thistle defence will have to be breached this Saturday, but with the home outfit still to lose a goal at Barrfields this season its going to take a monumental performance to come up with the goods, and the club ask you to come along and cheer us on.
The Willie Young Loyal bus leaves the Talbot Club at 12 noon, non-members welcome by contacting the club officials.
Admission prices are £9 adults, £6 concessions, children under 16 free but with an adult.
