It always nice to welcome football royalty to Beechwood Park and this was the case on Saturday when Kyle Lafferty visited as a current Johnstone Burgh player. Kyle is an ex Northern Ireland international who has had a glittering career including playing for Rangers (twice), Hearts and Kilmarnock.
Injury kept Kyle out of the match, but he was happy to mingle with Talbot supporters before and after the match including this photograph with Johnny, Sammy & Derek Eaglesham who were part of the group who sponsored from Mauchline Bowling Club.

Man of the Match Awards
The 1915 Golf Suite award won by Neill McPherson and presented by Alex Nelson.
Alex Duffy & Friends also picked Neilly as their man of the match and Alex himself made the presentation.
Jim Dunsmore & Friends selected Ali Boyle as their man of the match. The presentation was made by Brian O’Neill
The Mauchline Bowling Club award was won by Austin Sime with Liz Watson presenting.
The Loons Supporters Club award was presented by Martin Lynch and won by Scott Schoneville.

When Neill McPherson takes to the field on Saturday at Darvel it will be his 300th appearance for the club. The skipper joined Talbot in 2016 as a raw youngster from none other than Darvel and it’s a fitting tribute that the big man should celebrate 300 appearances at the club where he began his career.
