The Willie Young Player of the Year award for season 2021-22 was jointly won by Andy Leishman and Neil McPherson. Both players received their awards from club member Helen Gray following a recent match when a large number of club members and club legend Willie Young were present in the JMK hospitality lounge to thank the players for their contributions.

FROST CONTINUES TO CAUSE HAVOC
Although the weather this weekend is more favourable it came too late to thaw a bone-hard Blair Park which saw the match called off on Friday. Thus was a disappointment for both sets of fans who were looking for a rematch of the Neerday match which Talbot won 3-1.
LARGS GAME OFF
Unfortunately the weather conditions were too severe for Wednesday’s league match against Largs. The tie has been switched to Wednesday the 25th of this month with a 7.30pm kick off.

TALBOT ARMY TO THE RESCUE
Talbot fans turned up in numbers to help the committee and ground staff get the covers down for Wednesday nights league encounter with
Largs Thistle a fighting chance. With night time temperatures on Monday and Tuesday set to be below zero the club put out a plea to the fans to turn up and help out. After some heavy lifting the hallowed turf is now under cover and the club would like to thank the many fans that turned up to help out. Also a big shout out to the ground staff who have worked hard during the recent poor weather to get the matches played.

Kieran Healy successfully underwent surgery on the 14th December to remove the damaged part of his cartilage. The player is expected to return to training early January. We will release details in the near future on various fundraising events we plan to run to cover the cost of the operation.

EAST TERRACING UPGRADE
