Abacus the Nottingham based floodlight installers were at Beechwood to re-aim the lights to gain the correct lux level for our certificate needed for the SFA. When the remedial work was being done the BRC fitted bird spikes to keep the local seagull population off the pylons. The lights have been given the thumbs up and our certificate should be on its way. This has been a remarkable venture thanks to the cooperation between the club and the BRC and of course our loyal fans and sponsors. A special mention to Don Hamilton and Billy Harvey who managed the whole project, and who’s input was greatly appreciated.

The Club will continue our general tidy of the ground each Saturday Morning 10 – 11am during September (pending on the restart of football), volunteers welcome.

 

AUCHINLECK TALBOT FC SUPPORTERS SOCIAL CLUB – F.A.O. MEMBERS

The Club will be open to MEMBERS ONLY each Saturday from 1pm till 8pm and Sunday from 1pm till 6pm.

• Social Distancing & Government guidelines will be in place.
• On arrival you will be asked to sign in with your full name, address and contact number.
• No standing at the Bar.
• Several Sanitiser Stations with hand sanitisers at each table.
• Please follow the signage and directions that will be in place.
• The scheduled extension to the Social Club is now expected to begin within the next week or so, Members please note that the Club will be open for business during these works.

 

Saturday’s match with Rossvale at Beechwood has been postponed after a Rossvale player was tested positive for Covid. The player trained with his teammates midweek so both clubs have decided to cancel todays match. Talbot will proceed to have a traing session.

AUCHINLECK TALBOT FC WISHES TO THANK EVERYONE WHO DONATED, ASSISTED OR SUPPORTED THE ABOVE DRAW

Talbot will face Irvine Meadow at Beechwood after the WOSL released their opening fixtures as they try and kick start the new season. The original date was set for the 10th of October but this looked to be kicked back to the 31st of the month as the rate of infection caused by Covid-19 looks to be rising with some area’s of Scotland facing another lock-down. With the league fixtures now three month behind the governing body has split the 20 club premier division into two groups with Talbot and the Meadow joining, Benburb, Rob Roy, Blantyre Victoria, Kilbirnie, Clydebank, Largs, Bonnyton and Glenafton.

At the moment the WOSL have been in contact with the member clubs and have handed out questionares to gauge the feelings of the clubs. With the recent results concerning Covid becoming more alarming this could be a tense time for the Talbot and the supporters.

Talbot’s friendly match at Neilston on Saturday the 26th September has been cancelled due to the 25 mile travel restriction imposed by the Scottish Goverment and SFA. This means that Talbot are on the lookout for opposition within a 25 mile radius to fill the gap as they press forward towards a start to the season. The club will keep the fans posted on any further information regarding future fixtures.
