3 points was the most important thing about today’s game. Although the boys got off to a slow start in the first half the second half seen them improve their performance against an eager Largs team all in all Talbot made this a hard game for themselves but were still the stronger team and managed to pull off a fairly comfortable win.

Due to freezing conditions last night the game against Pollok has been postponed. It was hoped that the thaw last night would have been enough to loosen the frost. Unfortunately the conditions didn’t rise above freezing and the pitch has been deemed unplayable.

The match will be scheduled for next Saturday.

Beechwood was inspected at noon today (Friday) and it was found that some parts of the pitch were still hard and slippery underfoot. However the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow are to be slightly more milder so we hope it is a sufficient thaw to render the park playable. There will be an inspection at 8.30 am tomorrow where it will be decided if the game can go ahead. We will update all the information as we get it.

Following discussions between Auchinleck Talbot FC, Pollok FC and Police Scotland, the following measures were agreed and will be implemented to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all who attend the above match.

                                                                         CODE OF CONDUCT

• STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE GROUND, ALSO PERSONS WHO ARE INTOXICATED BY ANY MEANS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ADMISSION TO THE MATCH.

                                                                     

• SUPPORTERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER THE FIELD OF PLAY AT ANY TIME, ANYONE FOUND TO BE DOING SO WILL BE BANNED FROM FUTURE MATCHES

 

• THREATENING BEHAVIOUR, RACIST, SECTARIAN OR DISCRIMINATORY ABUSE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND WILL NOT BE TOLLERATED BY THE CLUB

 

Disabled Access will be available at the Social Club Gates.

Pollok FC have asked if Talbot supporters buses can be parked on Auldhouse Road (G43 1UP), as Newlandsfield is only a two minute walk from this area if you go through Morrison’s car park. Could all supporters please try and attend the game well before kick off to prevent congestion.

AUCHINLECK TALBOT SUPPORTERS are asked to enter and exit the ground by the Social Club Turnstiles.
Disabled Access will also be via the Social Club Gates

BEITH JUNIORS COACHES will drop supporters at the BANK END (MAIN STREET) OF THE GROUND and their fans are asked enter and exit from the BANK END TURNSTILES. At the end of the match the SUPPORTERS COACHES will uplift fans at the BANK END (MAIN STREET) OF THE GROUND.  On entering the ground access will be allowed for the BEITH JUNIORS Supporters to occupy the North end of the Main Street Terracing up to the segregation point, the Terracing behind the Bank End Goals and the East Terracing up to the Stand.
