CHARITY DONATION FROM LOSSIEMOUTH UNITED
Following our recent meeting in Scottish Junior Cup the fans of Lossiemouth United, prior to the match, presented Auchinleck Talbot with a cheque for £200 to be donated to a local charity of our choice.
The cheque was donated by Colin Knox, an avid Lossiemouth United fan and a generous supporter not only of the club but the local charities they support. Lossiemouth hail from Moray and are very much a community based club; gestures such as this are typical of the standing they hold within their local community and beyond.
It turned out to be an unforgettable trip for everyone connected to Lossiemouth United when they pulled off a remarkable victory and the icing on the cake of their success was the sporting manner in which Talbot accepted the defeat both from fans at the final whistle and at the after match gathering in the sponsors lounge.
Man of the Match was Lossiemouth goalkeeper Stephen Dey, and several of the sponsors presented him with their awards which are normally only given to Talbot players. Stephen is pictured with Tam McMillan who presented one of the awards he received.
Auchinleck Talbot Match Secretary Henry Dumigan is pictured presenting the cheque to Jenny Karimlar, the Manager of Glennie House Care Home who were the recipients of the donation.
Thanks again to everyone at Lossiemouth United and hopefully we will meet up again in the future.
