Victory over Pollok this Saturday will see Talbot having to travel to Beith in the 4th Round of the Scottish Cup after the draw was made today (30th November) in the Evening Times offices. This would see both clubs face each other for the fifth time in only three months with the last four matches throwing up a win each and two draws.
With a favourable weather forecast for this weekend the outcome of the Talbot v Pollok tie should be decided by 3.45 pm on Saturday. Talbot will be wanting to replicate the first match display where they bossed the tie for long periods but couldn’t cash in on the hard work outside the 18 yard box. Something they hope to turn around this match.
Talbot go into the replay as firm favourites but Pollok were last season’s cup finalists and a win over them will mean Talbot will then have to dispose of the current holders. This is a big ask for any team but hopefully Talbot have the pedigree to overcome the challenge.
