League cup final  – Sunday 21st May
Auchinleck Talbot v Largs Thistle  – Kilwinning sports club – KA13 6 LF – 10.30AM KICK OFF.

2003 –  Talbot 1-1 Prestwick. The boys could have and should have taken the 3 points as they had the chances. That said though, it was a good performance with every player giving their all. A goal by Keelan Stakim had the boys 1-0 up at half time. Second half a corner came off one of our own lads and into the net which was unlucky. The coaching staff are proud of how the boys played though, as they stuck in and gave their all against a good Prestwick side. Joint man of the match was Logan Murray and Cody Bottell.

2005 – Free week.

2006 – Only one game on Saturday for the 06’s away to Nith Valley United. We started slow and that seemed to set the trend for the whole game. We just couldn’t get ourselves into the game and it was a bit of a frustrating morning for everyone. That being said we did see some good football from us at times but silly mistakes cost us too often. Nith Valley played well and played as team which we just couldn’t do for some reason on Saturday. Hopefully the boys forget the game quickly and we move on.

2007 – Slightly disappointing performance on Saturday away to Cumnock. The boys have in general been doing great this season but for some reason on Saturday they went off the boil. They played some nice stuff in small patches but defensively weren’t as solid. Gave Cumnock too

much time on the ball which gave their flare players the opportunity to play. As said though, the boys have been doing well this season so we’ll hope it was just a blip and go again from training on Wednesday. Man of the match for Talbot was Tyler McPike for his effort and breaking up play. An excellent performance.
