This Saturday Talbot embark on their 2024/25 Scottish Junior Cup adventure with a visit from North of Scotland JFA’s Lossiemouth United. The lads from Phoenix Park have a daunting 400+ mile round trip to play this match so hopefully the players, officials and supporters have an enjoyable visit to Beechwood.
The Junior side currently play in the NJFA Championship which is a division below the Premier which hosts Bridge of Don FC who took us to a penalty shoot out last season up in Aberdeen.
United are sitting eighth in their division having only played three games, winning two with their only defeat being to New Elgin in the opening league match. Last week they enjoyed a 5-2 away win at Dufftown but it could prove to be a busy afternoon for United keeper Stephen Dey (Pictured right) as Talbot might have discovered their shooting boots after last weeks 4-1 win over Haddington.
Talbot have a 100% record at home against North opposition which they will be hoping to hang on too, but United are an unknown force so the lads will be showing the boys from the north the respect they deserve.
Get along to Beechwood this Saturday and cheer on the “Bot”
